Mountainous Region.
As the name suggested, this was an area consisting solely of mountains.
Unlike the Holy Land domain, which had been ravaged by raging fires, leaving behind moonlike craters across the earth and only the Holy City standing, and unlike the desert region, which was covered in yellow sand and shrouded in sandstorms year-round, this place truly consisted only of mountain ranges stretching endlessly into the distance, with hills and peaks rising and standing in every direction. It looked rather majestic.
However, compared with the Holy Land domain and the desert region, the environment here was not superior in the slightest.
Because food was scarce here all year round.
The soil was unsuitable for farming, vegetation was virtually nonexistent, the terrain was rough and uneven, and wild beasts—even ferocious ones—ran rampant in the mountains. Compared with the Holy Land domain and the desert region, the environment here could hardly be considered good. At most, it was not as dangerous as those two places, where Holy Knights ran amok, heavenly punishment descended from above, and there were sandstorms and the threat of magical beasts.
Compared with all that, the mountainous region was truly much safer.
Rather, the wild beasts and ferocious animals running rampant in the mountainous region actually gave the Mountain People a sliver of a chance to survive.
Only by hunting them could the Mountain People barely eke out a living.
Otherwise, everyone here would have starved to death long ago.
Of course, this only allowed them to barely survive. They could not even be said to have enough food and clothing.
After all, the wild beasts and ferocious animals of this era were nothing like those of modern times.
Since this was only the thirteenth century, the decline of mystery was not yet too severe. Even ordinary
