At the boundary between the Holy Land and the mountainous region, a fortress sat like a stronghold, radiating a chilling air.
Fully armed soldiers were stationed there. Some guarded the gates, some patrolled the surroundings, and others stood watch atop the walls. The defenses were so tight they were almost excessive.
Under such strict security, the slightest disturbance would likely be spotted immediately by the soldiers in the watchtowers.
However, there were some things that, even if discovered, no one would care about.
For example, flocks of birds soaring across the sky.
Several birds flew through the air, flapping their wings, and even circled above the fortress.
The soldiers thought they were ordinary birds, never realizing that they had already become the eyes of their master.
Behind a stretch of hills in the mountainous region, a squad of soldiers lay hidden. They remained utterly silent, not making even the slightest sound. They had even held their breaths as they waited for a young man to complete his reconnaissance.
The young man was half-crouched on the ground. Surrounded by soldiers and guarded by two Servants, he had his eyes closed as he shared his five senses with the birds flying over the fortress.
Before long, Luo Zhen opened his eyes.
"No problem."
Those were the first words Luo Zhen spoke.
"Although the defenses are tight, the soldiers stationed in the stronghold are all ordinary soldiers. I didn't see any Purification Knights, much less any sign of the Round Table."
Luo Zhen confirmed this.
Then, Chaldea's report came through as well.
"All the life reactions detected on the surface are ordinary. However, there's an underground space inside the stronghold, and it's extremely vast. We detected quite a few magical reactions from there. They shouldn't be Purification Knights,
