"No. Neither the barrier nor the Light of Judgment can hold them back anymore."
Standing atop the city wall and surveying the battlefield, Agravain admitted this coldly.
Seeing the eighth-layer barrier bitten apart by that unknown Two-Headed Dragon, with the ninth-layer barrier about to follow in its footsteps, and the Light of Judgment that kept crashing down from the sky being blocked one by one by the shield transformed from the White City, without causing the enemy even the slightest damage, Agravain was unwilling to admit it, but he still had to face reality.
"We originally thought that, in the worst-case scenario, we could rely on the barriers to delay them for a little while and allow the Holy Lance to activate successfully, or rely on the King's Light of Judgment to damage the enemy army, then have Sir Gawain burn everything away with the Sun Holy Sword. But now it seems that we not only underestimated the enemy's methods—they also have a truly terrifying military strategist who has brought every tactic into play in an orderly fashion."
Agravain was able to see that, at this point when their own formation had yet to fully deploy, the enemy had approached at precisely the right moment, as though striking a snake's weak point.
By approaching at this moment, once they successfully reached the foot of the Holy City, it would be when the formation being deployed here was at its most vulnerable.
Agravain knew very well that all of this was because of one person.
"The Master of Chaldea?"
Although there were quite a few people among the enemy who were skilled at marching and warfare, they should not have a true military strategist.
Since that was the case, the only possibility was that this was the work of Chaldea's Master.
