Onmyo Academy, the Academy Headmaster's Office.
After coming here for the first time in ages, Luo Zhen finally met Kurahashi Miyoshi in person.
"Have a seat."
The elderly noblewoman sat upright behind her desk and greeted Luo Zhen with a smile.
Luo Zhen did not stand on ceremony, sitting directly across from Kurahashi Miyoshi.
The two of them sat facing each other across the desk.
"You came here to obtain information from me, didn't you?"
Kurahashi Miyoshi saw through Luo Zhen's intentions at once.
"That's right." Luo Zhen did not try to hide it. He said bluntly, "I've been away from Tokyo—and even this country—for a long time. I basically know nothing about what happened here. I can only guess at part of it."
"That's already quite remarkable." Kurahashi Miyoshi sighed. "Ask whatever you want. I'll answer everything I can."
"Really?" Luo Zhen curled his lips into a smile. "In that case, I won't hold back."
With that, Luo Zhen indeed asked all sorts of questions without the slightest restraint.
Although Kurahashi Miyoshi had said she would answer whatever she could, she essentially told him everything she knew, explaining the situation after Luo Zhen's departure in full.
First was the current state of the Onmyo Agency.
After more than a year, the Onmyo Agency had developed and expanded under Kurahashi Genji.
In the past, the Onmyo Agency had only been recognized by society because of its work exorcising spiritual disasters. Its predecessor, the Onmyoryo, had been allowed to continue existing only because spiritual disasters were occurring so frequently. Otherwise, it would have been dismantled and ceased to exist shortly after the end of the Pacific War.
But now, after the two major incidents—the "Jōshi Great Exorcism" and the "Jōshi Second Exorcism"—people had realized that the
