The Four Great Vengeful Spirits
In Japanese history, there was a man who claimed to be the New Emperor and plotted to break away from the imperial court, ultimately causing a rebellion that became famous throughout history.
He was a Kanto noble and military commander in the middle of the Heian period, the fifth-generation descendant of Emperor Kanmu and the son of Taira no Yoshimochi, the governor-general of the Chinju Defense Headquarters. In his early years, he entered the service of the court official Fujiwara no Tadahira. He shook the imperial court in Kyoto, but was eventually defeated by Taira no Sadamori, the son of Taira no Kunika, and died after being struck by an arrow.
This New Emperor was Taira no Masakado, also known as—Soma Kojiro.
That was right.
This New Emperor was the ancestor of the Soma Family.
Several people present reacted to that name.
"Could it really be him?"
Great Tengu, who had remained silent all this time, raised his head and spoke in surprise.
"So this so-called Soma Family is descended from Taira no Masakado?"
Momijigari also raised an eyebrow, looking quite surprised.
At this, some people wore enlightened expressions, while others looked bewildered and had no
