As Kanda Myojin Shrine became a battlefield and the demons and Onmyoji entered into fierce combat, a ritual unknown to the world yet significant enough to be recorded in history was about to take place deep within the shrine, underground behind the worship hall.
There was an underground chamber here.
The underground chamber was spacious enough to rival the shrine grounds. Bonfires burned within it, illuminating the entire space and revealing pillars set at equal intervals along the walls. Cement had been applied up to roughly half their height, while soil and rock protruded above it. Several beams and pillars crossed the ceiling, making the entire structure resemble a cavern.
However, at the very center of this vast underground chamber stood an altar.
It was a stone platform surrounded on all four sides by Torii Gates.
A black Torii Gate stood to the north, a blue one to the east, a red one to the south, and a white one to the west. The altar consisted of multiple platforms bearing various offerings to the gods. Taiko Drums, Conch Shell Trumpets, ritual cloth, the Sun Bell, the Moon Bell, and other ritual vessels and Cursed Tools were arranged there as well. Bonfires burned at the four corners of the stone platform, making the firelight flicker.
If someone from the Tsuchimikado Family were here and saw this altar, they would recognize it instantly.
Because this altar was almost exactly identical to the celestial altar used for the 'Taizan Fukun no Matsuri.'
But that was only natural.
The ritual spell known as the 'Tenso Chifuyu no Matsuri' was originally an advanced version of the 'Taizan Fukun no Matsuri,' and its effects could be regarded as an enhanced version of the 'Taizan Fukun no Matsuri.' Since that was the case, wasn't it only natural
