Yugiri Asagi's explanation left Nagisa, Shion, and Aurora completely bewildered.
"Why did that person's death cause the man called Kageno Meiga to become a magical criminal instead?"
Nagisa raised her hand in surprise and asked.

"Because Kageno Meiga fell in love with that watcher. It's understandable that he would come to hate the watcher who died because of a mission for the Lion King Organization."

Nagisa was instantly rendered speechless.
Even Ro Zhen and Yukina had nothing to say. Yet, as though they shared some strange understanding, they suddenly looked at each other. One scratched her cheek and turned away, while the other's pretty face flushed bright red in panic. They looked incredibly unnatural.
So Ro Zhen decisively changed the subject.
"I understand that Kageno Meiga is hunting you out of hatred," Ro Zhen said. "But you also said just now that besides his hatred for you, there's another reason he's hunting you—that it has something to do with a certain plan, right?"
