Not only was the temperature extremely high and unbearably humid, but all kinds of ferocious beasts roamed here. There were even all sorts of monsters, and the Feathered Serpent Dragons would occasionally fly over the rainforest, stirring up turbulent currents. It was utterly terrifying.
Because of this, Luo Zhen and the others couldn't fly into the rainforest. Otherwise, they would be besieged by the Feathered Serpent Dragons. They could only pass through the tropical jungle and head deeper into it.
There stood Quetzalcoatl's temple.
"That's the Temple of the Sun. I saw it once by chance when I flew over this rainforest, but the Feathered Serpent Dragons immediately came after me, so I didn't get a very clear look."
Ishtar had told Luo Zhen this, giving him some idea of what to expect.
"Looks like all the goddesses who have manifested in this era have built their own temples."
Gorgon had her own Temple of Blood, which she used to cultivate and produce monsters and wield Tiamat's Authority, which did not originally belong to her.
Ereshkigal also had her own temple. Located in the deepest part of the Underworld, it had existed ever since the Underworld was created. It was where she made her lance prisons, managed the dead, and ruled over the entire Underworld.
Ishtar likewise had her own temple. It was said to have been built on Mount Ebih, where she used it to gather magical energy and improve her fortune.
For gods, having a temple dedicated exclusively to themselves came with all kinds of benefits. These ranged from gathering magical energy to increasing their power, with all sorts of other effects
