Under the skill of Magic Resistance, every Servant could gain the ability to resist magecraft.

Among the many Servants, however, most could obtain a skill like Magic Resistance. As a result, in battles between Servants, Servants of the Caster Class generally fell into a disadvantageous position. This was unavoidable.

If it was low-rank Magic Resistance, it was not a serious problem. But once the rank of Magic Resistance became high, a magus was nothing more than someone utterly powerless before a Servant.

For example, even B-rank Magic Resistance could nullify large-scale thaumaturgical formulas such as High Thaumaturgy and ritual magecraft.

Once Magic Resistance reached the highest rank of A, it could even nullify magic circles and instantly contracted High Thaumaturgy. Even the highest-ranking magi could not inflict damage with magecraft. Unless it was a formula on the level of Luo Zhen's Great Wisdom King's Dharma or the Fire Realm Incantation containing the true meaning of Acalanatha, no magecraft could work before A-rank Magic Resistance.

What was more, if one possessed A-rank Magic Resistance, then even if their Master used a Command Seal to issue a compulsory order, that Servant could resist it.

From this, it was clear just how disadvantageous a magus of the Caster Class was when facing a Servant with such a skill.
