He was the true name of the demigod hero whom everyone in Greek Mythology knew.

He was born to Zeus, the chief god of Greek Mythology, and Alcmene, the Mycenaean Princess and granddaughter of Perseus. Thus, he was a half-human, half-divine hero. His childhood name was Alcaeus, but after the priestess of Delphi called him "Heracles—the glory of Hera," he adopted that name. Yet he was absolutely not a hero whose life was filled with glory.

This hero's life had almost entirely been spent suffering because of Zeus's wife, Hera, and her hatred.

Hera hated Heracles because he had been born from Zeus's infidelity, and as a result, she inflicted countless hardships upon him.

For example, she sent snakes into the cradle where Heracles and his twin sister Iphicles slept. Later, she drove the hero, whose strength had become unmatched, insane, causing him to kill his wife and two children and become a king's slave to atone for his sins.

The jealous king then assigned Heracles twelve famous labors.

Every one of those labors was something no human could accomplish, even just one of them.

However, Heracles accomplished them all. He completed the twelve great feats, was freed from slavery, obtained an immortal body, and was eventually summoned as a god. He ascended into the heavens and became a constellation.

That was the life of Heracles, the great demigod hero of Greece.

It went without saying how high this great hero's rank as a Heroic Spirit was.
