Arc 49The Flesh Tai Sui Ritual

Meng Zhao uncovered Xiang Qing’s sabotage and navigated the struggle over command of the Divine Might Army as Si Peng backed Su Hongtu. Su Hongtu forged the Flesh Tai Sui into an evil weapon, resisted its influence, then fed it his severed arm.

  • Meng Zhao joined Si Peng’s faction after learning that Long Cheng planned to take command of the Divine Might Army, and he secretly used Flood Dragon Little Nine to hunt beasts for Su Hongtu.
  • When Xiang Qing’s scout Gou Shuping sabotaged Meng Zhao’s hunt with a white mouse, Meng Zhao forced him to switch allegiance and spread false information.

Arc 50The Evil Weapon and the Army

Su Hongtu fused with the Evil Weapon but became its final sacrifice, while Meng Zhao defeated the commanders who fought for the weapon. He then secured their allegiance and began taking control of the Divine Might Army.

Meng Zhao thwarted Commander Bai’s traps, won the Divine Might Army’s submission, and subdued the Heavenly Evil Battle Casket as his own divine weapon. After Death Sword Guards plotted to assassinate him, Li Ao and Fang Gongming weighed pledging allegiance to Meng Zhao.

  • Meng Zhao revealed Commander Bai’s hidden Death Thunder Guards beneath Abyss Lake, then refused their demand to return the Heavenly Evil Battle Casket.

After learning how Nangong Yao had destroyed Widow Xie’s family and stolen their bloodlines, Meng Zhao promised to kill him within ten years in exchange for Widow Xie’s wealth and connections.
