Duan Mu had always regarded this place merely as a refuge where the Quincies hid from the Soul Reapers' pursuit. Compared with the Three Realms, it was nothing more than a Seireitei-sized space, rather like the "Valley," where one could hide.
He had considered that fighting Yhwach here might be more difficult than fighting him outside. After all, this was the enemy's home ground, and who knew what traps might be hidden within it?
But only now did Duan Mu realize that he had been wrong—and...

The connection between Yhwach and the Wandenreich was nowhere near as simple as he had imagined.
Because, if he remembered correctly, during Yhwach's first invasion of Seireitei, his limited activity time had caused him to be swallowed by the Shadow Domain's shadow flames and carried back into the Wandenreich.

Based on his speculation, the Wandenreich seemed to be Yhwach's "domain." However, this "domain" differed greatly from the domain formed after Jueming's Shikai, and it even possessed the function of supplying Yhwach with energy.
