Because the slope between the vertebrae was so steep, Cheng Shi looked up and discovered that the endless, densely packed staircase of white bones resembled a gigantic fish skeleton floating in endless darkness, radiating a terrifying white light.

If this really was the skeleton of a fish, then calling the fish "huge" would be a gross understatement.

Perhaps every adjective for "large" that Cheng Shi had
