In the gloomy, silent basement, the lights came on, and Yu Dong and Chang Yanyan led Li Yang inside with smiles.
The movable entrance was made of special steel. The lighting was soft and ample, and rows of various weapons lined both sides inside the doorway—rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, and machine guns, everything one could ask for.
Li Yang even spotted a mortar and ten boxes of forty shells each.
Although these weapons had been wiped down and maintained until they looked brand-new, there was not the slightest sign that they had ever been used.
"These weapons from decades ago are fairly powerful against zombies, but they're far too loud and often create even more trouble. I picked them up for fun when I was scavenging and had nothing better to do."
Seeing Li Yang's gaze fixed on the toys lining both sides, Yu Dong explained somewhat sheepishly.
"The weapons we mainly rely on are the twenty Flying Swords. Their structure is extremely sturdy, they're powered by magnetic levitation, and they have excellent endurance. Their propulsion can easily pierce through a reinforced-concrete building, so they're more than enough for our explorations."
Yu Dong hurriedly pointed at the twenty pointed shuttles, each about the size of a beer bottle cap, arranged on the table in the entryway compartment. He spoke with a grin.
"However, when we came here, we encountered a Mutated Zombie. It was incredibly troublesome. Eighteen of these twenty Flying Swords have already run out of energy, and only two can still be used."
Yu Dong caressed the Flying Swords, which were broad in the middle and sharply pointed at both ends. The two shuttles activated with his brainwaves, floated into the air, spun around once, and then returned to the table. His expression grew wistful as he said,
