"Move faster. We have to get everything to the destination before dark."
Inside Shining City, a convoy of transport wagons slowly made its way along Bluestone Road, the rumble of turning wheels blending into one continuous sound.
Residents along the route voluntarily moved aside, because a squad of fully armed soldiers accompanied the convoy.
Several burly men at the front wore full suits of armor. One look was enough to tell that they were knights.
"Shining City really is better. Blackstone City was still too remote, after all."
Jordan grinned as he looked at the scenery on both sides of the street.
Shining City's architecture leaned toward a Roman style, giving it a grand and solemn air.
The roads were smooth bluestone paths, with flowers, grass, and trees planted on either side. The ground was clean and orderly, there was a complete sewer system, and even the houses were more exquisite and neatly arranged than those in Blackstone City.
Compared to Shining City, Blackstone City immediately seemed like the countryside.
"When we followed lord Kei to Blackstone City, who would have thought we'd return to Shining Territory so soon?" a knight remarked.
The others also looked deeply moved.
"Exactly. Back then, I thought I'd spend the rest of my life in Blackstone City."
"Yeah. Even now, I sometimes wonder whether I'm dreaming."
"It's all thanks to Lord and Sir Sunan. But then again, why did Sir Sunan move outside the city? Could it be—"
Before the knight could finish, Jordan kicked him.
"What nonsense are you spouting? Watch it, or I'll whip you!"
"The Baron and his brother have an excellent relationship. Besides, Sir Sunan clearly has no interest in a title. He's going to become a wizard someday!"
"Then why doesn't Sir Sunan stay in the city? It's so
