He tidied up the battlefield a little.
Considering that any gains he brought out had to be handed over, and that he himself had to pass through the Security Gate—
To prevent any further accidents, Arrow did not touch the apprentices' bodies. He merely erased any tracks that might expose him and lightly concealed the traps he had prepared earlier.
To set up those chains of traps, Arrow had spent an entire afternoon.
There were two locations in total.
At this location alone, less than one-fifth of the traps had been triggered.
Arrow could not possibly dismantle them all in the dark, so for now, he could only make do with this.
Fortunately, all the traps had been placed in areas with complicated terrain, away from the main road. There was no need to worry about others wandering into them anytime soon.
Many times, that was simply how it went. In a battle prepared for in advance, the fight ended before all the preparations could even be used.
It left one with a sense of unfinished satisfaction.
But if every last preparation truly had to be used, it would instead mean that the battle was slipping toward defeat.
After Arrow finished sorting everything out and adjusted his clothes, he picked up a large bag of faintly glowing powder and headed toward the Ruins in the Bloody Jungle.
The Ruins were unusually quiet at this time. The traces of apprentices frequently coming and going had vanished.
But that was normal.
After nightfall, apprentices from nearby would return directly to the academy, while those farther away would not cross the forest to reach the Ruins at this hour.
Walking amidst scattered specks of fluorescence, Arrow's vigorously pounding heart gradually calmed.
He raised his head to gaze at the floating, swaying starry sky.
