Ch. 182Phoenix Spreading Wings

Arro confronted Alice over the Blood Sacrifice Ritual, then attacked her with Phoenix Spreading Wings and a powerful sword strike. Alice used Space Distortion to evade him and activated Magic Arrays, intending to hold him until other wizards arrived.

  • Arro demanded that Alice undo the Blood Sacrifice Ritual, but she said she would bear everything Amy had suffered.
  • Arro unleashed Phoenix Spreading Wings, fusing the Black Flame Fire Phoenix with his armor to boost his ground speed.
  • Arro drew a new Blazing Greatsword and launched a combination of attacks, ending with Sword Drawing Heaven Severing Technique.
  • Alice used Space Distortion to evade Arro's Finishing Blow and activated multiple Magic Arrays against him.
  • Alice judged that the arrays could hold Arro until other wizards arrived, while she had received no news that Bosco had been defeated by Anthony.

Ch. 183I Won't Accept It!

Arro used improved Drill Bombs to destroy Alice’s hidden magic arrays after rejecting her plea to excuse her crimes. As he emerged from the dust, Alice knelt and begged him to spare her.

  • Arro fought off Earth Puppets and attacks from Alice’s magic arrays while secretly planting explosives.
  • Alice questioned why her daughter had died and argued that Jungle Home should punish her, but Arro condemned her Blood Sacrifice Rituals and refused to accept that punishment.
  • Arro detonated improved Drill Bombs, blasting apart the buried magic arrays and leaving Alice without her defenses.
  • Arro emerged from the dust as his armor fell away, and Alice knelt and begged him not to kill her.

Ch. 184Unflinching

Arro killed Alice with a concealed combination attack, but the Blood Sacrifice Ritual continued and the apprentices rose again. He flew toward the altar to rescue Senior Sister Dilia and stop the ritual, reaching the Stone Coffin amid the Blood Mist.

  • Arro rejected Alice's attempt to persuade him to stop and used a hidden close-range attack to kill her.
  • The Blood Sacrifice Ritual continued after Alice's death, and the fallen apprentices rose and kept moving toward the altar.
  • Arro realized he did not know how to stop the ritual and decided to destroy the iron tools, rescue Senior Sister Dilia, and wait for the Academy Wizards.
  • Arro activated the Flying Spell in his Pendant and flew toward the altar, where he saw Senior Sister Dilia at its center beside a Stone Coffin absorbing Blood Mist.

Ch. 185Experience

After his defeat of Alice and the Faceless Men, Arro’s combat experience advanced his Magic Strike Technique and Blazing Sword Technique, but the upgrade strained his already injured body and worsened his Abyss Power erosion. He prepared to destroy the altar trapping Dilia, then Bosco and the Chief Judge arrived as he called for them to save the students.

  • Arro’s combat experience raised his Magic Strike Technique to the Fourth Level and his Blazing Sword Technique to Advanced, while his personal level increased and he gained a skill point.
  • The system’s upgrade flooded Arro with knowledge and muscle memory, causing severe pain because his body was exhausted and injured.
  • Arro coughed up blood tainted by Abyss Power and drank Purification Potions, but their weakening effects left him needing to reduce his use of Magic Strike Technique.
  • Arro found that Dilia did not respond from the blood-mist-covered altar and took out his last two Drill Bombs to destroy it.
  • Bosco and the Suit Clown, the Chief Judge, arrived, and Arro urged Bosco to stop the altar and save Dilia and the other students.

Ch. 186Rescue

Arro watched as Lord Tides and Bosco rescued the blood-drained students and transformed the site into a Colosseum. After seeing the students survive and Bosco restore order, Arro spotted Kaitain but kept his distance to protect his friend from the consequences of his own actions.

  • The Suit Clown raised Arro into the air as Lord Tides reshaped the site and began rescuing the students buried beneath the altar.
  • Bosco explained that Bloodlight Flowers were supplying oxygen and nutrients to the students’ brains as they recovered.
  • Students crawled out of the Earth Blocks, and Arro collapsed with relief when he realized they had survived.
  • Bosco ordered the Guard Army to assemble and organized the students and other people into an orderly evacuation.
  • Arro saw that Kaitain was alive but turned away, deciding not to involve his friend in the investigation into the mentor’s death.

Ch. 187He Seems Like...

Arro, disguised as a battered captive, listened as Kaitain nearly recognized him and then joined Bosco and Suit Clown in the true Eternal Colosseum. Bosco asked Arro to keep his connection to Owl Academy, and Arro agreed, though he expected to be expelled if he fled.

  • Kaitain saw the bedraggled swordsman and almost identified him as Arro before stopping himself from finishing a potentially insulting remark.
  • Arro heard Kaitain and chose to forgive him, then put away his greatsword and rose when Bosco summoned him.
  • Suit Clown transported Bosco, Arro, and the others to the true Eternal Colosseum, where the pale-faced spectators sat asleep.
  • Bosco told Arro that he hoped he would not give up his identity as an Owl Academy student.
  • Arro promised to keep his connection to the academy as long as it did not expel him, while wondering whether Bosco had truly escaped and could face Anthony.

Ch. 188Rational Thinking

Arro weighed whether to surrender the Magic Strike Technique and concluded that neither choice would protect him from the academy’s wizards or Jungle Home. After learning that Tides was an artificial anomaly tied to Owl Wizard Academy’s founding, Arro confirmed he was willing to sacrifice Bosco’s Lesser Substitute Puppet to change the academy’s future.

  • Arro asked Bosco if he had escaped, and Bosco explained that only a portion of his consciousness had been projected while his body remained imprisoned.
  • Arro calmed his Abyss Power with a Purification Potion and reasoned that surrendering the Magic Strike Technique would make him easy to discard, while refusing would provoke the academy’s wizards.
  • Bosco introduced the Suit Clown as Tides, an artificial anomaly who inherited the name and abilities of the deceased Level 3 Prophecy Department wizard who founded Owl Wizard Academy.
  • Bosco warned Arro that his decision could greatly affect the academy’s future and asked whether he would sacrifice the Lesser Substitute Puppet.
  • Arro affirmed that he would use the puppet for the academy’s sake and said he had made up his mind.

Ch. 189Method

Arro challenged Bosco to rethink how the Academy operated and proposed ways to curb corruption and use its limited resources more effectively. Bosco listened and began recording Arro’s suggestions, leaving their plans for reform underway.

  • Arro asked Bosco to reconsider the Academy’s strength, atmosphere, and means of survival, condemning its exploitation and corruption.
  • Bosco admitted he lacked the energy and ability to recruit enough Mentors to restore the Academy.
  • Arro explained that some wizards already served the Academy by fighting the Scarlet Wizard Group and guarding resource sites, and criticized the need for so many wizard-led classes.
  • Arro proposed assigning suitable classes to Formal Knight apprentices and using Intermediate Apprentices to teach basic courses, while reserving Magic Stones for important positions.
  • Bosco copied down Arro’s proposals as Suit Clown watched with a faint smile.

Ch. 190Dilia's Situation

After the failed ritual, Suit Clown told Arro that Dilia had survived but remained asleep with another soul fused into her, while more than a thousand people had died. Bosco urged Arro to root out the academy’s hidden parasites, and Arro agreed as he prepared to leave.

  • Bosco praised Arro’s plans to reform Owl Wizard Academy, while Arro remained intent on leaving.
  • Arro asked about Dilia, and Suit Clown reported that 1,326 people had died from blood loss.
  • Suit Clown said Dilia was alive but unconscious because Alice’s daughter’s memories and Virtual Soul had fused with her, and he could not guarantee how she would recover.
  • Arro asked Bosco to tell Dilia’s brother, Desi, about her condition.
  • Bosco tasked Arro with decisively eliminating the people exploiting the academy, and Arro agreed.

Ch. 191Return

Arro returned to the Academy after rescuing the students from the Mist Space, and the apprentices greeted him as a hero. As the crowd celebrated him, Arro was moved by their recognition and realized they were young people like him.

  • Apprentices and Mentors gathered around the Teleportation Gate, worried about Arro and speculating about the Mist Different Dimension and his powerful spell.
  • Lysa told the Mentors that nothing about obtaining or sharing the spell was certain, while they considered buying secondhand knowledge.
  • Arro emerged from the energy ring battered and wearing torn clothes and oversized armor.
  • The apprentices recognized Arro and cheered him as a hero, recalling his battles and unwavering resolve.
  • Arro felt embarrassed but deeply moved by the crowd's admiration, then looked at the apprentices and realized they were young people too.

Ch. 192Glory

Arrow received public praise and mentor privileges from Dean Anthony after his achievements, while the Academy’s wizards prepared to bring him before their council to pursue the secret of his armor. Arrow agreed to their invitations while remaining wary of their intentions.

  • Anthony appeared above the square and praised Arrow Garner, announcing that the Academy would erect a statue in his honor.
  • Anthony granted Arrow mentor privileges, including one hundred Magic Stones each month and a dedicated Different Dimension.
  • Arrow accepted the rewards, and Lysa appeared to call for a council meeting and arrange the next steps.
  • The other Formal Wizards emerged and warmly invited Arrow, hoping to obtain the secret or blueprints of his armor.
  • Arrow noticed the apprentices’ admiration and agreed to go with the wizards while hiding his distrust.

Ch. 193Aftermath and Departure (Part One)

After the academy’s conflict, Arro walked through Stuart City’s harvest celebration, broke and still suffering from Abyss Power. Trapped in a drifting pocket dimension, Anthony and Lysa assessed their survivors and planned an escape without alerting Tides and Bosco.

  • Arro watched the fireworks in Stuart City, remembered the Suit Clown’s sacrifice, and realized he lacked money for a Purification Potion.
  • Arro called out to a passing young man, offering to sell him a treasure.
  • Anthony raged over his defeat and blamed Arro for the deaths and injuries among his group.
  • Lysa told Anthony that forty-two of their fifty-three companions had died and only five of the eleven surviving aberrant wizards remained sane.
  • Lysa urged Anthony not to contact Jungle Home and to awaken the others before they tried to escape the Different Dimension.

Ch. 194Aftermath and Departure (Part Two)

Wizard Bosco and Lord Tides accepted that they could not hide Arrow’s survival from Jungle Home, while Arrow tried to find a way to fund his escape from Owl Academy. Jungle Home issued a lucrative Wanted Poster for Arrow, drawing apprentice hunters even as Formal Wizards avoided the job.

  • Wizard Bosco learned that severing the Council Hall’s connection would prevent him from sending Jungle Home false information about Arrow, and he resigned himself to the truth being discovered.
  • Arrow tried to sell a stone carved into a conch shell to a young man so he could afford supplies and leave Owl Academy, but the young man recognized it as fake.
  • Jungle Home posted a bounty of 5,000 Magic Stones for capturing Arrow alive and 1,000 for killing him, describing him as Wizard Bosco’s student and a mentor-killer.
  • Formal Wizards declined to pursue Arrow because Prophecy Interference made his whereabouts difficult to predict, while apprentices rushed to take the bounty.
  • Hidden figures laughed at the Wanted Poster and welcomed the chance to target Bloody Falcon’s student.

Ch. 196Departure (Thank You All for Your Support!)

Arrow sold a Stone Conch for one Gold Coin, then built a Glider and flew toward the cities near Wengel Wizard Academy while planning to avoid pursuit and seek news of his mother. Elsewhere, a group in the Yajin Empire watched an Abyss Sorcerer’s blood sacrifice and revealed that others were using Abyss-afflicted figures as bait.

  • Arrow sold his Stone Conch to a young man for one Gold Coin and used the money to buy supplies for his escape.
  • Arrow assessed his weakened combat strength, built a Glider from salvaged armor and burlap, and flew away under cover of night.
  • In the Yajin Empire, a black-robed Abyss Sorcerer absorbed Black Mist amid the remains of a blood sacrifice while hidden observers watched.
  • A mature woman explained that the group was allowing the Abyss Sorcerer to act as bait to draw Arrow, and that they hoped to benefit if the two fought.
  • An old man revealed that other people were also hiding nearby and that several groups were using Abyss Creatures and their pursuers as bait.

Ch. 197Ambushed

Arro traveled by glider through the winter night while pondering how to develop his martial arts, then was ambushed by Harpies that damaged his glider. He killed three of them with a powerful combined technique but, out of Purification Potion and struggling with Abyss Power, descended into the forest.

  • Arro flew by night and considered meditating while developing martial arts because his Mental Strength was growing slowly and he lacked a body-focused cultivation method.
  • Arro startled some flying creatures away with Abyss Power, unaware that several Harpies below had noticed him and decided to attack.
  • The Harpies damaged Arro's glider and tried to seize him, so he cut himself free, activated his Flying Spell, and launched a counterattack.
  • Arro used Phoenix's First Cry and the combined technique Phoenix World Annihilation to kill three Harpies, gaining skill experience.
  • Arro lamented the cost of the fight as Abyss Power surged through him, deactivated the Magic Strike Technique, and descended into the forest.

Ch. 198Emotional Backlash

After falling into a forest, Arro rested for seven days, but his health continued to worsen and he feared Abyss Power was eroding his body. He decided to leave in search of a Purification Potion and headed toward a nearby mountain to find the Harpies’ nest, hoping to recover money and Magic Stones.

  • Arro landed in a forest, checked the surrounding trees for signs of Evil Creatures, and decided the area was safe enough to rest.
  • Arro rested for seven days, but his blood and qi continued to surge, he kept coughing, and his body grew thinner.
  • Arro decided to leave and seek a Purification Potion, reasoning that sunlight and better food could also help him recover.
  • Arro planned to search for the Harpies’ corpses and nest to obtain Magic Stones and money.
  • Arro followed a roundabout route toward the nearby mountain, where he believed the Harpies might have nested.

Ch. 199Survival Instinct

Arro searched the mountain for the Harpies’ nest and clues to his location, but found only a hidden rock crevice. Inside, he discovered a severely emaciated man and decided to save him.

  • Arro found that beasts had devoured the Harpy corpses and that his condition was draining his stamina, so he stopped searching the forest.
  • Arro flew to a mountain peak and found no signs of a permanent Harpy nest or clues about whether he remained in the Yajin Empire.
  • Arro considered how his pursuers might track him and used Cat Form Fist—Dash to search the mountain.
  • Arro heard swallowing from a rock crevice and approached it with his longsword drawn.
  • Arro found a skeletal, crippled man licking green moisture from the moss and called out to him, determined to save him.

Ch. 200Information

Arro found a starving man trapped in a rock crevice, but the man died after Arro tried to reassure him. After sealing the crevice, Arro searched the surrounding mountains for the nearby human settlement and spotted a stream that might lead him there.

  • Arro identified the trapped man's language as Xinte and learned the man feared a monster and mistook Arro for a Demon Hunter.
  • Arro tried to examine and calm the man, but the man's remaining strength failed and he died.
  • Arro inferred from the man's clothes and condition that a human civilization was nearby, then sealed the crevice with a rock.
  • Arro flew above the mountains and spotted a stream, deciding to follow it in search of a human Gathering Place.

Ch. 201Fairy

Arro traveled through the forest, killed a leopard, and prepared to take its pelt for money. As he was leaving, a Fairy emerged from the shrubs and called him Warrior.

  • Arro memorized landmarks and traveled through the jungle on foot and through the trees instead of wasting Magic Power on a Flying Spell.
  • Arro blinded an adult leopard with Solar Fist, killed it with his Cross Longsword, and stored its prepared remains in his Space Ring.
  • Arro drove away curious elk and washed the blood from his hands before hearing someone call out to him.
  • Arro approached the voice and discovered a green-haired girl with wood-like marks on her fingertips, whom he recognized as a Fairy.

Ch. 202Fairy Wraith

Arro met the fairy White Deer and learned that she wanted help destroying a rampaging Demon Tree that had grown from her dead friend. He discovered he was beyond the Vashi Mountains and asked White Deer how powerful the Demon Tree was, offering to help after his condition improved.

  • White Deer asked Arro to help her, and he led her away from the Leopard Demon's corpse while questioning her along the way.
  • White Deer named herself and revealed that she wanted Arro to destroy a Demon Tree that was slaughtering lives; she had been friends with it before it died.
  • Arro realized Demon Trees that grew from fairies were not necessarily fairies themselves, and learned White Deer was the only fairy nearby, traveling with a herd of Elks after fleeing the Vashi Mountains.
  • Arro recognized that he had crossed the Vashi Mountains and asked White Deer to estimate the Demon Tree's strength, explaining that he was an Intermediate Wizard Apprentice weakened by Alien Energy.
  • Arro said he could act after recovering for a few days and asked White Deer to find a Purification Potion to help restore his strength sooner.
