The range was rich in medicinal herbs, containing many precious plants, and was an important source of ingredients for alchemists. In the original story, Xiao Yi Xian had discovered a valley overflowing with medicinal herbs there. Likewise, because the Monster Mountain Range contained so many herbs, countless magical beasts also lived within it.
