Tathagata Buddha sat alone atop the highest peak of Spirit Mountain. Seated before him was another Buddha.
This Buddha was Maitreya Buddha.
Maitreya Buddha still wore a beaming smile. He chuckled and said to Tathagata Buddha, "Looks like you've finally come to your senses and decided to stop holding back and fight Wu Feng?"
Without waiting for Tathagata Buddha to explain, Maitreya Buddha continued, "I know the pressure Wu Feng has put on our Buddhist sect is immense. I come from the future, so I can tell you this: in the entire Primordial Chaos of the future, only one life will survive. That will be Wu Feng."
