Amy's double had stirred up Monica's unpleasant memories of the two versions of herself merging back in high school.
Yet the other woman was still so excited and happy, so Monica could only listen with a heavy heart.
After staying for a while, the old friends prepared to leave.

Their bond as biological sisters couldn't compare to Monica and Phoebe's friendship.

"Adam, are you sure Amy has no other problems besides amnesia?"
Rachel looked deeply concerned.
"For now, there don't seem to be any other issues. I'll keep a close eye on her."
Adam nodded.
"That's great!"
Rachel immediately returned to normal, clapping and smiling. "Looks like it won't affect tonight's event."
"What event?"
Ross asked.
"Nothing."
Rachel brushed him off. "Take Emma downstairs first. I'll be there in a bit."
"Girls' night."
Phoebe shrugged.
Ross looked suspicious, but he still carried little Emma downstairs.
"What event do you have that you need to hide from Ross?"
Adam smiled.
"The New York Super Invincible Cutie Contest is tonight."
Phoebe spoke with barely contained excitement. "If Emma enters, she'll definitely win first place."
"You're taking Emma to a beauty pageant?"
Adam couldn't help laughing. "No wonder you don't dare tell Ross."
"He's too old-fashioned, always saying we should value what's inside and not appearances."
Rachel complained. "It's all self-deception. If he really valued what was inside, why didn't he marry some incredibly ugly women?"

Adam's mouth twitched. "So that's why he married you?"
