"Of course Adam agreed to join us~"
Howard couldn't stand the sight of Sheldon looking so pleased with himself. Seeing Sheldon worried that Adam might join their Physics Bowl team, code-named PMS—Perpetual Motion Machine—he couldn't resist making something up first.
"Fine."
Sheldon's eyes narrowed. He nodded stiffly and said fiercely despite his inner weakness, "Even if Adam joins, you're still no match for me."
"Oh, really?"
Howard smiled.
"Heh heh heh heh heh~"
Rajesh, his best buddy, let out an exaggerated, bizarre laugh beside him.
Since Sheldon was far too formidable, this was the method he'd devised to mentally attack Sheldon.
They wanted Sheldon to mistake their confidence for certainty, start doubting himself, and then make mistake after mistake so they could win the Physics Bowl.
When it came down to intelligence and knowledge, the three of them combined had absolutely no confidence against Sheldon.
And Adam had refused to join them.
They could only resort to these crooked tricks.
Sheldon glared at the three of them, tucked a book under his arm, and returned to his bedroom.
From now on, he would cram at the last minute and thoroughly broaden his knowledge.
"He's nervous."
Rajesh looked very pleased with himself.
"Not because of your laugh," Leonard snarked. "It's because Howard lied and told him Adam joined us.
"But Adam never agreed, and now Sheldon is taking this even more seriously. If he crams with that super-intelligence and High-Definition Photographic Memory of his, he really can pull it off. What are we supposed to do?"
"It doesn't matter if Adam won't join us. He isn't the only one who can keep Sheldon in check."
Howard smiled. "And right now, there's someone perfectly suited for the job."
"Who?"
Rajesh and Leonard asked.
"Sheldon's nemesis, obviously."
Howard spelled it
