"Why are you laughing?"
Sheldon frowned.
"Oh, sweetie, hurry up and check the comments."
Penny looked at him sympathetically.
"Hey, someone actually recorded it and uploaded it to Twitter."
Sheldon was delighted at first glance. He was the supremely confident type, after all. But then he sensed something was off and frowned. "Hmm. This one isn't fair. This one is too hurtful. Even insects have six legs."
"You're not too bad either. You're only short one leg."
Howard mocked him.
"I only have two legs."
Sheldon failed to get Howard's joke and seriously refuted him.
"Don't corrupt children!"
Penny looked at Howard in disgust.
"What does KMN mean?"
Sheldon looked at the abbreviation in the comments.
"In this context, it should mean 'kill me now,'" Leonard explained.
"I told you, I don't want to teach!"
Sheldon had wanted to put on a magnanimous front, but he simply couldn't manage it. He shouted at Leonard, "Those blockheads don't deserve my beautiful mind!"
"That's why it's a punishment."
Howard reminded him, "You didn't really think President Seibert and the others promoted you and gave you a raise after you offended them like that because there was something wrong with their heads, did you?"
"I quit!"
Sheldon stormed back to his bedroom, fuming and heartbroken.
"Is he okay?"
Penny's mom grew worried.
"He's fine."
Leonard and the others remained perfectly calm. Those reading comments kept reading, those liking comments kept liking them, and those writing comments kept writing.
"At first, I really thought this wasn't a punishment."
Penny complained, "How is a promotion and a raise a punishment? If we had punishments like that, I'd just say, punish me every day!
But seeing Sheldon like this now, I understand. It really is a punishment!"
