She was going to stop those two demons from continuing to hurt others!

Just then, a warm hand grasped hers. She looked up and saw a girl standing beside her beneath the rosy glow, radiant as though she were the Virgin Mary incarnate. The girl smiled gently at her. "It isn't worth it."

The gloom in Karen's heart, polluted by those demons Jennifer and Adam, instantly dispersed beneath the girl's boundless radiance. The utility knife fell from her hand to the ground.
