Medical Center.
Observation Operating Room.
"Oh, great!"
Cristina rolled her eyes and mocked herself.
"Adam, you're done with your surgery already?"
Dr. Shepherd, who was leading the operation, glanced at the time in surprise.
"Mm."
Adam walked over to the second assistant's position and gave a reserved smile.
Shorty Melendez and Carter could naturally only stand off to the side in a row with Cristina's Numbers One, Two, Three, and Four, craning their necks to watch.
That's right!
Cristina's four interns had no names. Too lazy to name them, Cristina simply used four numbers as code names.
Adam seriously suspected that Cristina had copied Dr. House next door.
Dr. House also liked giving his doctors nicknames, occasionally referring to them directly by numbers.
As an authority fanatic, Cristina had naturally followed a worthy example.
Simple and clear.
As for whether it was insulting?
It definitely was.
But none of Numbers One through Four had much backbone. Faced with such a cold and ruthless boss, they could only obediently remember their code names.
Besides, the moment they arrived for their internships, they had encountered such an incredibly rare surgery. While everyone else outside was running themselves ragged doing grunt work, they had followed their boss into the Operating Room and "participated" in the entire procedure. What an extraordinary stroke of luck.
That alone was enough for them to put aside their minor displeasure over being called by numbers.
Of course, it would have been even better if this Operating Room had contained only the four of them, without Shorty and Carter suddenly squeezing in.
Especially after hearing that the two had come rushing over for a second operation after finishing an excellent one, their sense of satisfaction abruptly plummeted into an extremely awkward state.
It was utterly joyless.
Comparisons really did
