I Won't Indulge You!

Cafeteria.

"What exactly happened?"

Meredith couldn't help pressing for answers.

"What else could it be?"

Mark Sloan sneered at Meredith. "I only had you do one tiny thing all morning! Even a Rookie Intern could handle something like that, yet you screwed it up completely!

When it comes down to it, if you weren't relying on connections, you'd be one of the people who needed to redo their internship!"

Meredith's face instantly flushed red, but her rational mind filled her with dread. "You mean there was a problem with notifying the patient in Room 5513 this morning that she was dying?"

"The chart is right there! Take a good look!"

Mark Sloan said coldly, "It was the patient in Room 5512, and it was a he, not a she! You told a woman who came in to have a mole removed that she was dying!"

Adam took the chart and looked at it. Sure enough, it was Patient 5512. The last 2 had been written with a slight hook, making it look somewhat like a 3.

From that perspective, Mark Sloan was also at fault.

His handwriting on the chart was far too wild and sloppy, not standardized enough, and it had created a misunderstanding.

But Meredith's mistake was simply too basic. If she hadn't been certain, she should have confirmed it with Mark Sloan instead of going over there on assumption.

Therefore, Adam had no intention of speaking up for Meredith.

At a time like this, even if he was somewhat displeased with Mark Sloan using the opportunity to blow up, he would not undermine his authority as a senior doctor to reprimand a subordinate doctor who had made a mistake.

Just as Mark Sloan had said, even an intern could do such a simple task properly.
