The Show Begins

They got to work immediately.

Adam and Juno began gathering information on Mara Grayson.

It was easy enough to look up.

They only needed to check the court records.

Mara Grayson truly deserved her reputation as a rising star among professional guardians. In such a short time, she had already built up an impressive string of cases.

Numbers did not lie.

Not every case had medical certification from Dr. Karen Amos, nor had every ruling been handed down by Judge Judy Lumas.

But those two accounted for eighty or ninety percent of the records, which was still far too conspicuous.

"Looks like she really is smart."

Juno smiled. "They are not all elderly women living alone. Quite a few have children, and those children are typically unfilial. That really is excellent cover."

"Mm."

Adam nodded. "Those unfilial children further prove the necessity of professional guardians like them. With truth and lies mixed together, it is hard to tell them apart, and it gives the Attending Physician and the judge more room to maneuver."

"From the looks of it, she is still in the early stages."

Juno analyzed, "Only this Dr. Karen Amos can be confirmed as being in league with her. Her coming to your hospital was most likely to build connections and expand her pool of Attending Physicians."

"That is probably it."

Adam sighed.

He was not worried that Dr. Shepherd would go down that path.

Dr. Shepherd looked like the kind of man whose family had money to burn. Combined with his own abilities, money could not sway him at all.

But Mara Grayson could use her connection with Dr. Shepherd to meet more Attending Physicians.

Dr. Shepherd would not fall, but other doctors might.

"Let's move quickly."
