Medical Center.
After Monica repeatedly reminded him, Adam personally took Little Adam to be washed, to keep him from getting hurt or mixed up with another baby.
Beep.
Beep.
While the baby was being washed, Adam's pager went off.
"Carla, please bring Little Adam to his mother later."
Adam checked his pager and immediately stood up. After giving Nurse Carla the instruction, he smiled at Chandler. "Chandler, just watch from the side."
Chandler smiled helplessly.
"Don't worry. You'll get a chance to hold him later!"
Adam teased before leaving.
"What happened?"
Adam rushed to the ER.
"It's Dr. Bailey's son!"
George said anxiously, "Georgie Jr.!"
Um.
By a twist of fate, Bailey's son had been named after George, so George was especially concerned.
"Get Dr. Montgomery, Dr. Shepherd, Dr. Burke, the Chief of Surgery, everyone, here for a consultation."
After giving the order, Adam ran over and examined Georgie Jr. "His limbs are responsive. His pupils are reactive and dilated. No neurological damage.
There's bruising and swelling on his left forearm. Get him an X-ray!
Tucker, how did Georgie Jr. get hurt?"
"He climbed into the study because he wanted to grab a medical book. Then the bookshelf fell over and pinned him beneath it. I only found him after I heard him crying out..."
Dr. Bailey's husband, Tucker, said, covering his mouth.
"Breath sounds are diminished on his left side, and his abdomen is rigid. Get the CT and Ultrasound equipment ready. He needs a full trauma workup."
Adam's expression tightened as he examined the boy's abdomen.
"What does that mean?"
Tucker asked in terror.
"He may have internal injuries!"
Adam said as he pushed the gurney toward the ward.
George O'Malley had already run ahead to prepare everything as Adam had instructed.
"What happened?"
