Boxing Club.
Adam and Panda Buddha Decker had fully exchanged their views. There had been some unpleasantness along the way, but in the end, they returned to a cordial and friendly conversation.
"Now that everything's out in the open, I hope you'll call the hospital again later and remind them to take good care of your brother, Owen."
Adam suggested, "But also express enough goodwill to let them know you won't pursue anything further, so they can work without worry."
"Okay."
Panda Buddha Decker agreed with a "kind and benevolent" expression.
"Then goodbye."
Adam smiled. "For the next few days, I'll stay at the hospital around the clock and make sure your brother Owen receives the best medical care."
"Thank you."
Deckard had lost his initial coldness and thanked him.
Adam nodded, left the club, got into his sports car, and stopped at a red-light intersection.
A BMW pulled up from behind and stopped beside Adam at the intersection.
The window rolled down, revealing Panda Buddha Decker's rather comical face.
Vroom, vroom, vroom!
A burst of powerful engine roars sounded.
"Want to race?"
Deckard turned his head to look at him.
"Forget it."
Adam shook his head.
He liked speeding to save time, but that was based on the reflexes afforded by his Bullet Time.
That did not mean he enjoyed racing other people.
The other person obviously did not have his level of skill. One mistake, and it could easily end in a wreck with people dead.
It was fine if he wanted to get himself killed, but accidentally killing someone else would be bad.
"No confidence?"
Deckard could not help smiling.
"That kind of provocation is too low-level."
Adam smiled.
"Then does it work?"
Deckard smiled. "Are you willing to admit defeat?"
"..."
