After William retreated in shame, Adam received a call from Leonard and came over to look at a heart surgery case.
It was Leonard's patient.
Leonard wanted Adam to participate as well.

Rachel's second sister, Amy, held the freshly written check from Leonard, kissed him, then waved the check smugly at Adam as he walked in before clicking away in her high heels.

Leonard let out a helpless sigh.
"Has Amy gotten involved in some new activity?"
Adam asked with a smile.
"Don't even mention it."
Leonard shook his head with a bitter smile. "I used to think Rachel would be the daughter who gave me the biggest headache. Then I thought it was Amy, then Jill. Now I've finally realized that Amy is still the one who gives me the biggest headache of all!"
"She'll get better with time."
Adam comforted him. "Isn't Rachel successful in her career now, with a happy family too?"
"But Amy is already in her mid-twenties."
Leonard complained, "Rachel graduated from college at twenty-two, ran away from her wedding, and a few years later, by Amy's age, she was already supporting herself and had matured. Do you see any sign of that in Amy? She's never even had a job!"
"As long as she doesn't cause any major trouble, it's fine."
Adam smiled. "There's nothing wrong with being a wealthy idler for life."
"Let's hope so."
Leonard nodded. "I heard Rachel is planning to throw a big party for Emma's first birthday. Are you going?"
"Of course."
