Led by Lexie, Darren and the others returned to their rooms to rest first.
Adam and Paige studied Darren's brain scans and began working out how to inject the virus.

They ran simulations in their minds over and over, working until evening.
During that time, Cristina came over, wanting to take part.
But Adam was merely the one providing the data. Other than staring blankly and doubting her own intelligence, there was nothing she could do.

With Paige's help, Adam finally finalized the surgical plan.
"Can I go into the Operating Room and watch?"
Paige suddenly asked.
"You want to go into the Operating Room?"
Adam said in surprise, "We'll be opening up someone's skull. It won't be a pretty sight. Most people can't handle it."
"What the MRI shows and what you describe are still different from the real thing."
Paige explained, "I want to see it for myself, to get a clearer and more concrete understanding. Besides, I've never seen you at work before. I'm curious too. I'll treat it as a change of pace."

Adam could not help smiling and agreed immediately.

Hearing that, Cristina could not help reminding him, "Adam, are you sure? Last month, a resident arranged for his girlfriend to watch an operation from the Observation Room, and the hospital warned and punished him. Have you forgotten? And now you want to take Paige directly into the Operating Room?"
"Paige is different!"
Adam immediately retorted, "She's the mathematical consultant for this clinical research project and a member of the project team. It's perfectly reasonable for her to inspect the project's progress on-site!"
