Chapter 845: Adam's Hand Meets the Hand of God
Medical Center.
After curing Ross and seeing off the chattering man, Adam returned to the ward to oversee the second patient in the clinical research project.
"Get the hell out!"
The moment he returned, he heard Mr. Covington Sr.'s furious roar.
Darren's handsome comrade walked out, looking rather embarrassed.
"What happened?"
Adam glanced at Lexie.
Lexie explained softly.
Sure enough, it was hardly surprising. Seeing Darren lying there motionless like Snow White after eating the poisoned apple, Darren's handsome comrade could not help wanting to work some magic.
He had not expected Mr. Covington Sr. to catch him in the act.
Mr. Covington Sr. loathed witchcraft and magic most of all. He had called his son's comrade over to help his son fight the disease, not to have them compete against each other.
He had truly invited a wolf into his home!
The incident seemed to become a fuse.
Darren, whose condition had originally been stable, seemed to sense the conflict between his old father and close comrade. The monitor alarms began sounding one after another.
"Damn it!"
Adam cursed under his breath and rushed forward with The Four Interns. He had the bewildered, remorseful Mr. Covington Sr. step aside and began resuscitation.
They worked through half the night.
As Mr. Covington Sr. watched Adam and the others drag his son back from Death's grasp again and again, he could only stand to one side with a hand over his mouth, his body trembling faintly.
"I know my being here makes you uncomfortable, but the training I received taught me never to abandon a comrade when he falls!"
Darren's comrade, who had never left, received the news and rushed over. He shouted at Mr. Covington Sr., who stood with his back
