Medical Center.
They had just seen one Mike off, and another Mike had arrived.
"You want me to be your best man?"
Adam looked at Phoebe's fiancé, Mike, in surprise.
"You're having a group wedding that day. I need to be Joey's best man."
"Isn't Chandler as best man and Ross as a groomsman enough?"
Mike said awkwardly, "If you came over to my side, you'd be my best man."
"I'm honored, but what about your best friend?"
Adam asked in surprise.
"I don't have one..."
Mike smiled bitterly. "I only realized now that I can't even find a best man.
"I can't even find a groomsman..."
"You don't have a single male friend?"
Adam's expression immediately turned strange.
"Since middle school, I've preferred hanging out with girls..."
Mike gave a high-EQ interpretation of Playboy.
"Heh."
Adam could not help laughing. "Me too, but surely it's not to the point where you don't have even one male friend?"
"All right."
Mike said helplessly, "I never noticed it before. Now it's too late to change, and Phoebe won't agree if I just find someone at random to be my best man."
"Has Phoebe decided who her maid of honor will be?"
Adam asked curiously. "Monica or Rachel?"
"Neither."
Mike smiled. "She doesn't want them fighting, and she doesn't want them bothering her.
"Besides, when Monica and Rachel got married, they were each other's maids of honor.
"Phoebe said everyone only had one best friend, so she found someone else."
"Does Phoebe's friend have a boyfriend?"
Adam reminded him. "If she does, wouldn't inviting him work out perfectly?"
"She does."
Mike smiled bitterly. "But I can't get along with him, and he won't be at the wedding anyway, because Phoebe is afraid Monica will get angry."
"Don't tell me he's Monica's ex-boyfriend?"
