Medical Center.
Outside the ward.
Cristina stood off to the side with her arms folded, smiling as she watched the show.
Urban Soldier King, Military Doctor Major Hunt caught sight of her from the corner of his eye and grew even more energized. He unleashed a barrage at Dr. Shepherd, who was listening to him with a cold expression. "Your medical knowledge needs updating..."
Beside them, Chief Resident of Orthopedics, Callie, could not help chiming in. "There was once a case where someone who had been trampled by a bison was treated successfully with cryotherapy."
Dr. Shepherd glanced at Callie, then looked at the Soldier King before him. "In that bison case, the patient was only twenty, with a very strong heart.
Our patient is already sixty. His heart is barely hanging on.
I want him to live long enough to see his grandchildren!"
By then, he could not even be bothered to look at that rugged face anymore. He turned directly to Callie. "Dr. Torres, book an Operating Room.
And tell the patient that despite Uncle Sam's theory, cryotherapy is not feasible."
With that, he strode away.
"Why didn't you keep arguing with him?"
Cristina was deeply disappointed.
"..."
Soldier King Military Doctor Major Hunt felt his heart clog up again.
He had only read case reports about this cryotherapy. He had never actually performed it himself.
It would have been fine if the other side knew nothing about it.
But Dr. Shepherd clearly understood it well, and what he said was objectively true.
There had only been a handful of such cases to begin with.
And the successful patients had the crucial advantage of being young and healthy.
What else could he say?
If he kept going, it would no longer be arguing back. He would expose himself
