Chicago.
Sheldon's arrival interrupted Adam and Paige.
But after giving it some thought, Adam decided to stop teasing him.
The East Coast and West Coast were thousands of kilometers apart.
If not for this special circumstance, the three of them would not have had the time to get together at all.
There was nothing wrong with staying in together for a while.
They could treat it as getting used to their future Big Bang-style lives in advance.
"Here's The Matrix: Director's Commentary Version. Want to watch it?"
Adam walked over, sorted through the discs, pulled one out, and gestured to Sheldon.
"I've seen it."
Sheldon smiled. "But we can watch it together. It'll definitely be interesting."
"Heh."
Adam quipped, "Wouldn't that make it the one-of-a-kind Matrix Director's Commentary Plus Sheldon Commentary Version?"
"Yes!"
Sheldon nodded seriously.
Adam walked over and took the center seat.
"What are you doing?"
Paige suddenly laughed.
Sheldon had craned his neck toward the projector, but his face was practically pressed against Adam's.
"This seat has the best audiovisual effect."
Sheldon answered with his neck stiffly extended.
"Easy."
Adam got up and shifted the sofa to the side. "How about now?"
"Excellent."
Sheldon looked at the projector, then at Adam and Paige. He even solemnly cleared his throat and tested his voice before finally nodding in satisfaction.
"Can we start now?"
Adam asked with a smile.
"Start it."
Sheldon stared at the projector.
The Matrix officially began.
The experience, though, was nowhere near as exciting and enjoyable as when Adam and Paige had watched it in theaters when it first came out.
That was because there were now two extra voices: the director's and Sheldon's.
It was far too noisy.
"Hmph."
After the credits rolled, Sheldon let out a soft snort through his nose.
"What now?"
