The Difficult Choice

"Your Majesty Arthur, the situation in Greece is extremely chaotic right now, and this is also the best opportunity to interfere in Greek affairs." Early the next morning, after a night of deep thought, George II finally found Arthur and launched into a lengthy speech.

"If you can help me restore my throne, I am willing to represent Greece in signing an alliance with Australasia. Greece will forever be Australasia's partner, and we can carry out comprehensive cooperation." George II spoke with a trace of sincerity.

Arthur had been prepared for George II's impatience. After all, George II had finally become king, only to be stripped of his throne a few years later. The blow and the sense of disparity had been enormous, so naturally his longing for the throne was equally immense.

But no matter what, it was impossible for Arthur to help George II unconditionally. First, he had to make George II understand the respective positions of Australasia and Greece in diplomacy, as well as what George II should do for Arthur.

After hearing George II's words, Arthur smiled faintly and asked, "The republican resolution was passed by the Hellenic Parliament, wasn't it? If you want to restore your throne, wouldn't that mean opposing all of Greece?"

"Although that is true, Your Majesty Arthur," George II explained, "it is obvious that the Greek people have been influenced by republican and democratic ideas. The current Greek Government has not achieved true republican democracy. Its politics are extremely chaotic, which has instead worsened Greece's decline.

"The reason the people lost faith in the royal family was the previous Greco-Turkish War, but the blame for the war's defeat should not all be placed on the royal family.

"Your Majesty Arthur, please give me a chance. As long as I can reclaim
