Antarctic Expedition Team Returns

In accordance with the principle that the faster the colony was localized, the better, just a few days after Arthur returned to Sydney the government announced the localization of the New Guinea Colony.

The specific changes were as follows:

First, the former New Guinea Colony was restructured into the New Guinea Directly-Administered State, and the capital of New Guinea State remained Port Moresby.

Secondly, the colonial government was reformed into the state government, the colonial council was reformed into the State Assembly, and Governor John became the first governor of New Guinea State.

Next came the massive migration to New Guinea State. To enable New Guinea State to exert its proper economic value, the population scale needed to be raised to at least over two million.

The current New Guinea State was still a long way from this population requirement and still needed government support in terms of immigration to quickly increase the population scale of New Guinea State.

The official localization of New Guinea counted as good news, and another piece of good news was the successful return of Charles Putter and his entourage.

This name was last mentioned three years ago. He was the head of the Australasian Antarctic expedition team personally appointed by Arthur, and also the leader of the exploration to the South Pole.
