Testing and a Change of Face

With Arthur's support, Tesla burst with astonishing enthusiasm. The battleship had only just docked at the shipyard when Tesla had already begun installing the radar.

By the time the radar had been installed and calibrated, a week had passed, and it was already February 26.

Arthur brought the current Commander of the Navy, Lieutenant General Andrew Reed, Lieutenant General Thomas Johnson, the Defense Minister, and numerous staff officers from the Ministry of Defense to Port of Sydney to attend the radar's actual test.

After boarding the battleship, Arthur once again saw Tesla directing his men as they calibrated the radar.

Tesla also spotted Arthur and hurried over to salute him. With an excited look on his face, he said, "Your Majesty, the radar is ready!"

Arthur nodded, turned his gaze toward the generals behind him, and said with a smile, "Introduce this experiment to these fellows. Tell them how we're going to test the radar."

"Yes, Your Majesty." Tesla nodded and looked toward the generals before explaining, "Gentlemen, radar determines the enemy's position through the reflection of radio waves. The distance it can measure and the effectiveness of those measurements are the two major factors in testing a radar's capabilities.

"To better test the performance of our first-generation radar, please have the commander order the fleet to approach this battleship from a distance. My team will record the number of warships in your fleet that appear on the radar and the time they appear, as well as the radar's maximum detection range, so that we can verify this radar's true capabilities."

At present, the radar's purpose was to detect enemies at long range, and Tesla's experiment was naturally focused in that direction.

The generals nodded when they heard this. They had no objections to Tesla's proposal. After all, ordering the
