"Give it to me." Norton held out his hand, and Ye Qian handed it over directly.
He carefully took photographs and copied down the patterns on it before returning the item.
"All right, you can go take care of your own business now."
"Okay, then goodbye." Ye Qian waved at him.
"I'll see you out."
Miss Taviel the doll rose from the sofa and extended her hand to Ye Qian.
"Mhm."
So she followed Taviel out through the front entrance, just as several students happened to pass by.
They clearly recognized her and greeted her. Ye Qian nodded in return.
She soon followed Taviel outside.
The Mystic Thread continued sensing her, but even now, Ye Qian could not detect any more concrete changes in Taviel's mind compared to before.
"Are you really not Norton?" Ye Qian asked one last time.
Taviel: "..."
"Ahem, sorry. I didn't mean to keep fixating on that." With an awkward smile, Ye Qian waved, indicating that she was leaving.
After leaving the campus, she looked at the address.
"Teleport there? No... that would be too fast. It'd look suspicious."
The exact location was Fog Gray City. One of her clones had only recently gone there. If she showed up there just minutes after saying goodbye to Norton, it would seem absurd.
So Ye Qian No. 2 went straight to the train station and bought a seated ticket. Then she leaned back in her seat, watching the scenery outside as she waited for the train to depart.
Seven hours later, the train slowly entered Fog Gray City.
"It really does have a Steam Age style."
At first glance, the entire city retained an extremely old-fashioned atmosphere.
Many of its buildings were several centuries old. In particular, the large structures with predominantly black color schemes and
