This was the first time he had seen someone use divination directly on the Holy See itself.
The key was that, judging by the situation, she had apparently succeeded outright.
"N-No, this is my dream." Realizing this terrifying fact, the man began to shudder.
A9 covered her mouth and snickered. "Oh, come on. The fact that I dared to enter your dream means there's no problem. Otherwise, if the Holy See really mobilized resources to target you, do you think you could stay hidden?"
"Fine, but how did you break through their anti-divination system?"
"Anti-divination power can't be maintained at a high level at all times. The cost would be far too high."
What she meant was that she could easily break through low-level anti-divination. The man clearly understood. His eyes flickered. Though inwardly shocked, he said nothing more. Still, he had begun guessing at the girl's origins and ultimately concluded that her identity was far from ordinary.
"Then let's begin."
The scene before his eyes was almost no different from the Holy See in his memories. Even many details he knew were present.
This was the clearest and most realistic dream he had ever experienced, so real that he could not distinguish truth from falsehood. He instinctively felt that this was reality.
The girl walked ahead of him and led him into a hall.
A Priest was presiding over a prayer ceremony here.
"Watch the clock on the wall. It says 5:30, which was over half an hour ago. In other words, what we're seeing now is something that happened in the past."
Compared to foreseeing the future, being able to understand the past this clearly was just as terrifying.
The two arrived on the first floor, where the conversations of the people nearby were displayed with perfect clarity.
