This was a gesture of etiquette from his world, representing respect. Any human from a normal culture would understand it.
"Then what coincidence brought you here?"
The girl turned around and continued asking in a relatively calm tone.
"My sincerest apologies. According to my lord's information, people from your world appeared in mine, so my lord sent me to investigate. Perhaps my lord believes that you bear hostile intentions, but I most certainly did not come here for war."
