  • The Holy Knights, Calca, Kuirat, Remedios, and Blue Rose attacked the Pleidas Seven while Evileye tried to stab Saigō from behind.

Ch. 103Utopia and Dystopia

Saigō captured the Sacred Kingdom’s capital, suppressed the demi-humans, and kept the city’s residents safe while confronting Queen Calca Bessarez with the failures of her rule. He forced her to choose between killing two companions to spare the commoners or protecting them and watching the city be destroyed, intending to make her govern the country under his rule.

  • Saigō ordered the Pleiades Seven sisters to bring the Saint Princess and Blue Rose to the palace alive, and instructed Demiurge to take the capital without harming its residents.

  • Rigurd and Chaindroux agreed to prepare for the players’ threat by seeking Guild Weapons and World Items and gathering dragonkind’s help.
  • Lakyus and the rest of Blue Rose returned to the Re-Estize Kingdom after repeated failed attempts to enter the Sacred Kingdom and rescue Evileye.

  • Momonga met Blue Rose, suspected Zarathustra was testing the world's strength and searching for other players, and resolved to strengthen his will against the Mother of Evil Gods.

He offered to spare Blue Rose, kill the Coffin Dragon King, and revive her kingdom if she submitted to him and helped conquer the Re-Estize Kingdom, leaving Evileye stunned by the promise of her people’s return.

  • Saigō visited Evileye in the black coffin and threatened to have Albedo capture Blue Rose unless Evileye answered his questions.

  • Saigō caught Shalltear’s Pure Throwing Spear, shattered it, and used Dragon-Snake Mercury to tear her body in half, but Shalltear restored herself with Time Rewind.
  • Shalltear transformed into a monstrous lamprey-like creature and lunged at Saigō, who praised her appearance, tore out her tongue, and repeatedly whipped her with it to stop her from using magic.
  • Saigō threw Shalltear’s mangled body before the guardians, who knelt and asked him how to deal with her.
  • Momonga explained that another World Item could remove Beauty Overwhelms Nations’ effect, while killing Shalltear might also free her but risked losing her if resurrection no longer worked.

Ch. 114The Shattered Truth of the Universe / I’ll Punish You, Shalltear!

Saigō used Holy Annihilation on Shalltear and discovered that it resonated with the World Item controlling her, revealing that both were fragments of the Mother of Evil Gods’ shattered cosmic truths. As stars fell across the world, the Slane Theocracy and powerful dragons sensed the immense force, while Shalltear’s fate remained unresolved.

  • Saigō studied Shalltear and activated Holy Annihilation to test whether it could dispel the World Item’s effect on her.
  • Saigō learned that Holy Annihilation and World Items shared an origin as fragments of the Mother of Evil Gods’ power, and he connected the invitation letters to those scattered fragments.
  • The sky darkened worldwide, the stars shifted from their orbits, and meteors began falling as Holy Annihilation resonated with the World Item inside Shalltear.
  • Certain Death told the twelve High Priests that an overwhelming power had appeared, and the priests ordered the Wind Flower Sacred Canon to investigate recent events across the continent.

In the Throne Room, Momonga returned and hinted to Saigō that his recent experiences had changed him, while keeping the details to himself.

  • Saigō ordered Shizu to clean Shalltear’s devastated bedchamber before teleporting away.
  • Shalltear staggered through the corridor, boasting to Albedo that she had received Saigō’s affection, and the two argued over his favor.

Ch. 118Morax: It’s Too Late! / Will You Sign a Contract with Me?

After Guizhong’s death and the evacuation from Guili, Morax’s erosion worsened, and the black paper he had carried for a thousand years exploited his weakened mind. He realized he had unknowingly formed a contract with it, fell into darkness, and met Nangong Nayue in the Void, where Momonga also appeared.

Ch. 119You Have Already Lost, Demon God of Contracts! / Morax: I Want to Be a Decent Man!

Morax accepted that he could not refuse Saigō’s contract, and Saigō offered a Devil’s incarnation to protect what Morax cared about. Saigō then promised he could also fulfill Morax’s deepest desire and regret, leaving Morax shaken by the thought of someone dear to him.

  • Saigō told Morax that he lacked the power to refuse the contract and that resistance would be meaningless.
  • Morax calmly asked Saigō to state the contract’s terms and decided to limit the harm as much as he could.
  • Saigō offered to send an incarnation of one of his subordinate Devils to defeat Morax’s enemies and protect what he cared about.
  • Saigō offered to make up for Morax’s deepest desire and regret, and Morax shuddered as a smiling figure came to mind.

Ch. 120The Demon God of Entropy / A Throne Decreed by Heaven

Morax accepted Saigō’s contract, which promised to fulfill his deepest wishes while leaving its price undecided, and returned to Mt. Tianheng. There he met Saigō’s Entropy Demon God incarnation, introduced him to Azhdaha as an ally, and explained Liyue’s history as its people migrated south.

  • Morax asked Saigō what price he would have to pay for the contract, and Saigō said he would decide later.
  • Saigō sent Morax back to Mt. Tianheng, where Azhdaha said Morax had been gone for only an instant.
