Shade raised his head and looked at Miss Louisa, who had stopped ahead and turned back to look at him.
"I see. So this really is a dream."
"Oh, Shade, what's wrong with you?"
Miss Louisa asked in surprise, looking him over from head to toe.
Only then did Shade notice that the lightly made-up blonde young lady was especially beautiful today. Perhaps because she was feeling warm, the top three golden buttons of her white blouse with lace cuffs had somehow come undone, revealing glimpses of the clothing beneath.
You felt it.
"No need to remind me. If I still didn't understand after that, I'd be too stupid. This sort of scenario is rather vulgar, and cliché too. Besides, Miss Louisa would never address me directly by name."
"Shade, why have you stopped talking? You found traces of that thing, didn't you?"
"Miss Louisa" asked softly.
She hurried two steps toward Shade, but for some reason suddenly stumbled forward, about to fall right into his arms.
But Shade did not reach out to catch her. Instead, he flung out an arc of Silver Moonlight. Its brilliant radiance illuminated the third floor corridor, which had somehow turned dark, and passed through "Miss Louisa's" body.
The blonde young lady scattered into a cloud of black smoke beneath the light and vanished into the air.
Shade did not relax his guard because of this. Instead, he stood vigilantly where he was. The light around the corridor suddenly dimmed, as though the corridor itself were absorbing it.
And in such an
