No matter what, now that the 1st Floor of Saint Derain Square had been opened up, the house had suddenly gained so much extra space. Shade needed to consider how best to make use of it.
Returning from the basement to the 1st Floor and looking at the spacious area, Shade was in an excellent mood after learning this new secret:
"The Old Gods Statue is underground. Based on the experience of the past century, it will affect ordinary people upstairs, so if I want to rent the place out, I can't rashly rent it to ordinary people."
There was no need for such concerns if he rented it to Ring Arcanists, but Shade did not know any Ring Arcanists close enough to live with. "Once I have money, I could consider hiring a maid to clean like Professor Manning. Cleaning the house myself is really a waste time. For now, I'll use the 1st Floor and basement as storage space. Little Mia will probably like having somewhere to walk around, too. But even so, I'll have to spend money reconnecting the steam and gas pipes."
