"Meow~"
The cat pawing at Shade's clothes beside the pillow, hoping he would share some food, suddenly raised its head and curiously watched the snow falling from the ceiling. The strange sight was reflected in its amber eyes. It stretched out a little paw to bat at a falling snowflake, startled by the icy sensation upon touching it, but soon curiously reached out again.
Judging from Miss Mia Goode's letter, Mia was less than half a year old. It had probably never seen snow before.
Miss Louisa looked around. This was still Shade's bedroom. Though snowflakes were drifting down from the ceiling, compared to last night, the current situation was far too ordinary.
"For now, this is all I can do. I can sense just how powerful the Thaumaturgy I've mastered is, but I can't use it. At present, I can only make it snow over a certain area. Fortunately, maintaining the snowfall barely consumes any of my spirit or elements."
Shade spoke, then canceled the Thaumaturgy's effect. Otherwise, he would not be able to eat breakfast.
Mia seemed a little disappointed. It kept scratching at Shade's blanket, making little noises. It liked those white, cold things.
Miss Louisa considered this for a moment:
"Just as I expected. Your Ring Arcanist level is too low, and you have too little spirit. So even though this Thaumaturgy belongs entirely to you, you can only manifest part of its effect. That is easy enough to understand."
She said this regretfully, glanced at the sulking cat, and added:
"But the future is promising. Once you advance to higher rings, you will certainly be able to immediately master a tremendously powerful Thaumaturgy."
Shade nodded and took a bite of the scrambled eggs, finding them quite good. It seemed that Miss Louisa, who lived alone,
