Of course, the Thaumaturgy Chaotic Time Blade had its drawbacks.
First, the Thaumaturgy itself did not enhance the power of an attack. If Shade's first strike hit the target but failed to break through its defenses, then the second strike would likewise fail. Or, against an enemy exceptionally skilled at parrying, if the first attack was blocked, the second within three seconds would most likely be blocked as well.
Second, time bestowed great power upon the casting medium held in one's hand, so using this Thaumaturgy required a specific weapon with the nature of a "blade." Ordinary Alchemy Items would probably shatter after a single use, while among relics, the only one Shade could think of was the Tattered Veil Sword in Miss Bayes's possession.
But he immediately realized that sword seemed to have no edge, so it did not meet the Thaumaturgy's requirements.
Relics that could be used as weapons were generally incomparably precious, and relics in the form of cold weapons were even rarer. Thus, even though Shade now had several hundred pounds in hand, it would be better to spend that money on Thaumaturgies or curses.
Thaumaturgies and curses capable of creating blades were relatively common. Of course, Silver Moon Slash did not qualify, as it was not a Thaumaturgy that formed a weapon. But when considering how it could be paired with Chaotic Time Blade, Shade suddenly realized that Witch's Copy Paper might finally prove useful.
He then used the second leaf, once again placing it before his right eye. This time, as the icy current flowed into his brain, the Destiny Ring behind Shade's back suddenly appeared on its own amid the sounds of bells and steam whistles, then began spinning at high speed.
As steam billowed out and warmed the room, a golden halo
