Shade put away the ring, leaving the cat to sulk by itself, then continued discussing the ownership of the other items on the table.

"God's Gift Box belongs to Shade."

Luvia said, and Miss Bayes had no objection:

"But what other uses does this Sage Level Relic have?"

She was quite curious. Shade picked up the stack of papers beside it, research materials left behind by the Cult:

"Three positive traits and one negative trait. First is the one already recorded by The Church: whenever a Ring Arcanist first comes into contact with this Gift Box, they can obtain a synthesis formula for combining low-level relics into high-level relics. But the box merely provides a possibility. The now-extinct Cult never succeeded, and neither did the Silver-Eyed One."

"There are no records of success in The Church's archives either."

Miss Bayes added.

"The Academy has none either."

Miss Annette added as well.

Shade shook his head.

"So this trait is not actually well understood. And judging from the Silver-Eyed One's fate, Greed comes at a price."

Shade had not obtained any so-called synthesis information when he touched the box, because what he had received was divinity.

Besides, based on what he knew of that god, there was no reason the final work He made would have such a function added to it. In Shade's view, this "synthesis" was probably possible, but certainly extraordinarily difficult—likely just a small joke from that god.

"Second, this box can contain abnormal items, whether other strange objects or relics. Yes, as long as it can fit inside, any relic placed in the box will absolutely never lose control. And—"

Shade paused.

"Even a relic in a state of loss of control can return to normal if it is small enough to be stuffed into the box."
