"Hmm, almost none?"
Shade answered the question with a question.
"Yes, which is why I'd wager that in the past half year, there have been no more than three incidents matching the prophecy on that stone tablet. There may not even have been a single one."
Shade nodded and looked down at Mia in his arms. His feelings were rather complicated at that moment. The Epic of the Sixth Epoch was actually being advanced around him once again.
"Do you have any further clues about the second Chosen One? Perhaps we found the incident, but there were simply too many survivors."
"The other portions of the Murmuring Chapters held by the Council contain no records of the second Chosen One, but our partners have provided information indicating that the second Chosen One's power is related to darkness. We missed the crucial first Chosen One. Now, no matter which side it is, no one will give up this second opportunity."
The witch narrowed her eyes, seemingly having thought of something. Shade nodded again, frowning as though deep in thought. Miss Galina did not think much of it, assuming only that he was worried about the Chosen One, and so she comforted him:
"You needn't be overly troubled. After all, this matter has nothing to do with us. Let the people of the West Coast deal with what happens on the West Coast. I've already decided not to return to Saladir County for the time being, and the Council supports my continued stay in Tobesk. That way, even if something happens in this city again, you'll have someone to turn to for help."
Shade had been about to nod again, but suddenly frowned and looked up at the Duchess.
"Sorry, you mean here?"
He pointed downward.
"Something else will happen?"
