After seeing Leisha off, Shade still had other matters tonight. Iluna and Luvia would be coming later to summarize the matter of the second Chosen One and deal with the door residing within Origin.
But both of them had work to deal with, so they probably would not arrive until after eight. Taking advantage of the time, Shade returned from the foyer to the second floor. He removed his shirt as he went upstairs, arriving at the washroom bare-chested and examining his neck in the mirror.
Since leaving the Doctor's place, he had been with Leisha the entire time and had not had a chance to check those marks. Standing before the washbasin beneath the gas lamp, he indeed saw red marks on his neck:
"Are they really that obvious?"

After the conspicuous marks vanished, he passed his right arm across the front of his body and pressed against the back of his neck from the left side. He twisted his upper body slightly, trying to see what the back of his neck looked like.
Suddenly, an intense feeling of being watched entered his heart. Keeping that strange posture, Shade turned around with a fierce expression:
"It was you watching me, wasn't it?"
A cat stood in the washroom doorway:
"Mia!"
The stern expression on Shade's face turned into a smile. The cat immediately ran into the washroom, and Shade bent down to pick her up. The well-mannered cat stood on his shoulder without scratching him with her paws:
