Having obtained his first Spirit Rune, Shade naturally wanted to try mastering the Thaumaturgy corresponding to Gluttony. Doctor Schneider and the others approved of the idea as well. Even though Ring Arcanists had limited energy and could not deeply understand and explore every Spirit Rune, mastering at least one Thaumaturgy for each Rune was standard Academy practice.

"Our ways of obtaining spells and Thaumaturgy are not limited to the expensive Saint Byron's Library."

Miss Annette said, gesturing with her hand:

"Tobesk City is one of the most important cities on the Old Continent. Countless Ring Arcanists mingle here, naturally forming black markets and trading channels of a certain scale. You probably already know that relics can be bought from Old Dad John. In fact, we also have channels for directly purchasing Thaumaturgy, spells, and even certain books that may grant Spirit Runes after being read."

She looked at the Doctor on the bed. Only after he nodded did Miss Annette take out paper and pen to write down an address. Once she had confirmed that Shade had memorized it, she burned it with the flame at her fingertip:

"You only need to go here. The membership fee is 1 Pound, which I imagine should not be too difficult for you."

"Yes, I recently came into a large sum of money."

Shade said, thinking of yesterday's wallet, and then Sparrow's Secret. He intended to speak with Miss Annette alone about divination after the meeting ended.

The address Miss Annette wrote down was for the Black Raven Library in the Tobesk University District, very close to the apartment Miss Louisa rented.

On the surface, it was a private library and club for University Professors. Only with the owner's permission and after paying a certain membership fee could one share the books inside.
