The Old Lighthouse on Lake Heart Island stood behind the ancient aristocratic estate. They first crossed the snow-covered grounds through snow and fog, then entered the Withered Forest behind the manor through a small back gate. Following the path through the forest, they would reach the lighthouse at the island's northeastern corner.
Compared to the other buildings on the island, the lighthouse was probably the only one that had remained in use. After all, no matter what organization occupied the island, as long as ships still needed to travel across the great lake, they needed a lighthouse to guide them.
The pier beneath the lighthouse was also the largest of the island's three piers.
As expected, a group of ghosts dwelled in the old manor. As Shade and Iluna passed through the courtyard, they stood at the windows, silently watching the two walk across the snowy ground through the pitch-black openings that had long since lost their glass and curtains.
